University Minnesota Crookston

John grew up in west central Minnesota and began working on a construction crew at a young age, building homes and learning the trade. He’s been fortunate to carry on these skills in his daily work. John enjoys spending time outdoors, being with family and friends, and volunteering at the local VFW -- a passion of his and an important way he gives back to the community.
John enjoys finding the right solution that fits the homeowner’s needs and working together to build the project.
John enjoys playing golf with his son and friends -- though he jokes that everyone is better than him, it's all about having fun, and that one good swing keeps him coming back. He was fortunate to play collegiate hockey and even had the memorable experience of playing on the 1980 Olympic hockey rink in Lake Placid, NY. For those who’ve seen Miracle, he confirms the locker rooms truly look like that, and he even stayed at the Olympic Village. The Lake Placid experience was unforgettable and made even more special by sharing it with family and teammates.
