Description:

We are looking for a structural engineer with experience in both residential and commercial projects to assist our Operations team with successfully and appropriately making structural repairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and consult with our Operations team
  • Assist with acquiring needed permits in accordance with city and state regulations
  • Serve as a resource to the sales team, to verify the accuracy of proposed solutions

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills are a must
  • Ability to work independently without a lot of supervision
  • Background check and drug screening are part of our hiring process
  • No record of felonies

Qualifications:

  • Licensed (or willing to acquire license) as a Structural Engineer throughout our service area (Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio)
  • Knowledge of building permits and related documentation
  • Customer service experience is preferred

Education:

  • A four-year degree in civil or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university, with coursework that emphasizes structural engineering
  • Two to five years of experience working under the supervision of a registered professional engineer with a specialty in structural engineering
  • Completion and passing of the Professional Engineer’s exam, which permits registration with the State Board of Engineering

Experience:

  • Construction experience is an asset
